Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition Launched in India at Rs 19.90 Lakh

The Suzuki Hayabusa has received a new Special Edition in India, bringing exclusive styling, updated electronics and a lighter battery to one of the country's most recognisable superbikes.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has priced the new Hayabusa Special Edition at Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be sold alongside the updated standard Hayabusa, which is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh.

The Special Edition doesn't chase more horsepower. Instead, Suzuki has focused on making the motorcycle more distinctive through an exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue finish, special graphics, unique detailing and a factory-fitted single-seat cowl. The latest Hayabusa range also benefits from a new lithium-ion battery and revisions to some of its electronic rider aids.

Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition Price in India

The new Hayabusa Special Edition carries an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 19,90,000.

The standard Hayabusa, meanwhile, is available at Rs 18,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

That puts the Special Edition at a premium of approximately Rs 91,000 over the standard motorcycle.

What Makes the Hayabusa Special Edition Different?

The easiest way to identify the Special Edition is its exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue colour scheme.

Suzuki has paired the paint with model-specific graphics and a distinctive wheel finish. The fuel tank gets a three-dimensional SUZUKI emblem along with a dedicated Special Edition badge.

Suzuki has also given the muffler ends and heat guards an anodised finish, adding another subtle visual difference compared with the standard motorcycle.

A single-seat cowl is included as standard, completing the more focused appearance of the Special Edition.

The standard motorcycle continues to offer the same unmistakable Hayabusa shape, with the new colours providing a visual refresh rather than a major redesign.

New Lithium-Ion Battery

There is more to the update than new paint.

The latest Hayabusa range gets a new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery. The new unit is lighter and more compact than a conventional battery and is designed to provide stable voltage delivery under load.

Reducing weight is always useful on a high-performance motorcycle, although Suzuki hasn't turned the battery change into a dramatic mechanical overhaul.

Smart Cruise Control Gets Better

Suzuki has also revised some of the Hayabusa's electronic systems.

One of the most useful changes concerns the Smart Cruise Control system. The system can now remain active while the rider changes gears, making it more convenient during long-distance highway riding.

This is particularly relevant to the Hayabusa because, despite its extraordinary performance reputation, the motorcycle has long combined superbike-level speed with sports-touring ability.

Launch Control and Power Mode Settings Revised

Suzuki has also recalibrated the Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector.

These are refinements rather than completely new electronic features, but they add to the technology updates introduced alongside the new Special Edition.

Same 1,340cc Inline-Four Engine

Suzuki hasn't made a major change to the heart of the Hayabusa.

The motorcycle continues to use its legendary 1,340cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC inline-four engine.

In India-spec form, the engine produces approximately 190 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 142 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It remains paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Hayabusa Chassis and Suspension

The proven chassis package also continues.

The Hayabusa is built around a twin-spar aluminium frame and uses fully adjustable KYB upside-down forks at the front along with an adjustable rear monoshock.

This gives riders the ability to adjust the suspension depending on riding conditions, preferences and load.

Brembo Stylema Brakes Continue

Braking hardware remains suitably serious for a motorcycle with the Hayabusa's performance potential.

At the front are twin 320mm floating discs paired with Brembo Stylema four-piston callipers.

The braking system works alongside the motorcycle's electronic safety package, including ABS and other IMU-supported rider aids.

Hayabusa Still Packs Plenty of Electronics

Beyond the systems revised for this update, the Hayabusa continues to offer an extensive electronics package designed to help riders manage the performance of the 1,340cc engine.

Depending on the selected settings, riders have access to features such as traction control, selectable power delivery, launch control, engine-brake control, quickshifter, cruise control and other electronic assistance systems.

These systems are integrated through Suzuki's broader electronic rider-aid package rather than being added purely for the Special Edition.

Suzuki hasn't tried to reinvent the Hayabusa with this Special Edition, and it probably doesn't need to.

The 1,340cc inline-four remains the centrepiece of the motorcycle, while the new Pearl Vigor Blue treatment gives buyers a way to own something more distinctive than the regular model.

More interesting from an everyday-use perspective are the updates shared across the range. A lighter lithium-ion battery and cruise control that can remain active through gear changes are small but meaningful improvements to a motorcycle that has always mixed extreme performance with long-distance usability.
