Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker River Mobility has entered Nepal, opening its first international sales and service outlet in Kathmandu. The move was made in partnership with Nepali business group Vishal Group.

River Indie Price in Nepal

The new store will sell River's only model, the Indie electric scooter, along with accessories and merchandise. In Nepal, the Indie is priced at NPR 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Kathmandu), which works out to around Rs 2.30 lakh.

That makes it about Rs 73,000 more expensive than in India, where the Indie costs Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Test rides and bookings are open at the new outlet.

Store and Service

  • Location: Naxal, Kathmandu
  • Partner: Vishal Group
  • Facilities: Sales, accessories and a dedicated service centre for after-sales support

River plans to expand to other major cities in Nepal to reach more customers.

River's Growth in India

River currently runs over 90 stores in India, across Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi-NCR. The company aims to grow its Indian network to more than 400 stores by March 2028.

About the River Indie

The Indie is a practical, SUV-style electric scooter known for its large storage space and rugged design. Nepal, where EVs have become popular, is a natural first step for River's global expansion.
