Prefer Us onGoogle NewsTVS Motor Company has made its popular Raider 125 even more feature-loaded. The two top-spec variants, SXC DD and TFT DD, now get traction control, an emergency brake warning, faster charging and a wider rear tyre. As per reports, this makes the Raider the first 125cc motorcycle in India with traction control.
No Price Increase
TVS revised Raider 125 prices across the range on September 30, 2026. These new features come without any further price hike, adding more value for buyers.
What's New
- Switchable traction control: Reduces rear-wheel slip on wet, sandy or slippery roads, and can be turned off if needed
- Emergency brake warning: Alerts vehicles behind when the rider brakes hard suddenly
- 27W USB Type-C fast charger: Charges phones much quicker on the go
- Wider 120-section rear tyre: Better grip and a sportier stance, still on 17-inch alloys
What Stays the Same
There are no mechanical changes. The Raider 125 continues with its 124.8cc single-cylinder engine making 11.4 PS and 11.75 Nm.
Both updated variants keep disc brakes at both ends and smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts. The difference between them is the console:
- SXC DD: Colour LCD display
- TFT DD: Full TFT display
Why It Matters
Traction control is usually found on much more expensive bikes. By bringing it to the 125cc commuter segment, TVS has set a new benchmark, especially as the Raider already led its class in features. Rivals like the Hero Xtreme 125R, Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and Honda SP 125 now have a tougher competitor.
For young buyers looking for a sporty, safe and feature-rich 125cc bike this festive season, the updated Raider 125 is hard to ignore.
