BMW Motorrad has unveiled the all-new F 450 RR, a fully faired sportbike that completes its new 450 family alongside the F 450 GS adventure bike and the F 450 R naked. Like its siblings, the F 450 RR is manufactured by TVS Motor Company in Hosur, India.
Design: A Baby S 1000 RR
The F 450 RR takes clear inspiration from BMW's flagship superbike, the S 1000 RR. Highlights include:
- Aggressive nose-down, tail-up stance
- Aerodynamic winglets on the fairing
- Asymmetric side fairings and split LED headlamps
- Clip-on handlebars for a sporty riding position
Engine and Performance
Despite the "450" name, the bike uses a 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, the same unit as the F 450 GS and F 450 R.
| Power | 48 hp @ 8,750 rpm |
| Torque | 43 Nm @ 6,750 rpm |
| Gearbox | 6-speed |
| 0–100 km/h | 5.6 seconds (claimed) |
| Top speed | 177 km/h (claimed) |
| Fuel tank | 14 litres |

The engine uses a 135-degree crank offset for a distinctive sound and smooth power delivery, and much of its torque is available low in the rev range, making it easy to ride in traffic.

India Launch and Expected Price
BMW has not announced prices or an India launch date yet. The F 450 GS arrived in India about six months after its global reveal, so the F 450 RR could reach India in early 2027. Since it is made locally by TVS, pricing should be competitive. It is expected to sit between the F 450 R and the F 450 GS, which currently costs from Rs 4.70 lakh.
Once launched, the F 450 RR will rival the Kawasaki Ninja 500, Aprilia RS 457 and KTM RC 390.
