Kawasaki Z300 Revealed in India – Bookings Open October 19, Price on October 20

Kawasaki has revealed the all-new Z300 in India at a preview event in Bangalore. The street-naked motorcycle becomes the entry point into Kawasaki's Z family and is expected to be closely related to the Ninja 300.

Key Dates

  • October 18: Preview showcases in Mumbai and Pune
  • October 19: Bookings open
  • October 20: Price, variants and full specifications go live on Kawasaki India's website

Design

The Z300 takes clear styling cues from its bigger sibling, the Z900, with a muscular tank and sharp naked-bike stance. It gets a wide single-piece handlebar for an upright, relaxed riding position. Kawasaki will offer it in two colours, Green and Black.

Engine and Features

The Z300 is expected to use the familiar 296cc parallel-twin engine from the Ninja 300, rated at around 39 hp and 26.1 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. A big upgrade over the Ninja 300 is the instrument cluster: the Z300 gets a TFT display with smartphone connectivity instead of the Ninja's semi-digital unit.

Expected Price and Rivals

The Ninja 300 currently costs Rs 3.34 lakh (ex-showroom). Without the fairing, the Z300 could be priced a little lower. If Kawasaki keeps it under the Rs 3 lakh mark, it would offer twin-cylinder smoothness against single-cylinder rivals such as the KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310.

Stay tuned to 91Bikes for the official price and full specifications on October 20.
