Prefer Us onGoogle NewsHero MotoCorp has released a second teaser of the updated Xtreme 160R 4V, confirming the launch for October 16, 2026. The new teaser gives a clearer look at the changes coming to Hero's sporty 160cc street bike.
Why the Update Matters
The 160cc sporty commuter segment has become very competitive. Both the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V were recently updated with features like Google Maps mirroring. The new Xtreme 160R 4V is Hero's answer to these rivals.
Design Changes
Compared with the current model, the teaser shows a revised silhouette. Changes are expected around the:
- Fuel tank
- Seat
- Headlamp and tail-light
- Riding ergonomics
Interestingly, the latest teaser does not show the rear tyre hugger that was visible in the first teaser. Hero may also upgrade the brakes.
TFT Display Expected
The biggest upgrade is expected to be a TFT instrument cluster. The current Xtreme 160R 4V uses an LCD unit with turn-by-turn navigation. A TFT screen could bring Google Maps mirroring, document storage, a lap timer and auto brightness. Features like cruise control and an electronic throttle are likely to continue.
Engine and Current Price
Major engine changes are not expected. The current bike uses a 163.2cc single-cylinder 4-valve engine making 16.9 PS and 14.9 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The current Xtreme 160R 4V costs Rs 1.35 lakh to Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model may get a small price hike, though Hero could also hold prices to stay competitive.
