About Yamaha YZF-R2
The Yamaha YZF-R2 is an upcoming bike expected to target riders looking for daily city rides and short commutes. It is expected to launch around 2026-08-27. 91Bikes will update full specifications, mileage and pricing for the YZF-R2 as soon as Yamaha makes them official.
The Yamaha YZF-R2 is a sports bike from Yamaha. Expected ex-showroom pricing in India starts at ₹231,000 to ₹253,000. On-road cost is higher once RTO, insurance and dealer-fitted accessories are added, and those line items differ by city.
Claimed mileage is 30.0 kmpl from a 204 cc engine. That figure is a lab claim; city traffic, pillion load and tyre pressure usually matter more than a 2–3 kmpl gap versus a rival on the spec sheet.
For Kolkata, 91Bikes currently publishes an estimated on-road total of ₹263,340 as of 10 Oct 2026 (ex-showroom, RTO, insurance and optional accessories). Confirm the final invoice with a dealer before you book.
Buy this if
You want a committed riding position and will actually use the performance, not only the looks.
Skip this if
Most of your kilometres are slow city traffic and you need an upright, all-day commute posture.
